  1. Shakes head...you are so very young, Grasshopper. Goonies lunchbox?? I carried a metal Daniel Boone lunchbox...yes the show with Fess Parker, dammit!! I cried when my Dad brought that home. My next one was a vinyl Beatles ripoff band. All had thermoses that if you dropped them, you risked drinking kool-aid with glass shards in it. Ah, the good ol' days.

  2. I had THAT Trapper Keeper! The rainbow one! Wheeeeeeeeeeee! :) I am, however, VERY happy that mechanical pencils are used now. :) I hated the feel of #2s on my fingers! LOL

  3. Me, I had a sweet THE LAST STARFIGHTER lunchbox. Made of pure awesome sauce.

  4. Claire, I'm laughing so hard. Did you choose the Daniel Boone lunchbox?

Aimee, I'm so jealous. I didn't get one for two years after they came out, and then ended up with a plain red one.

Niiiice, Shawn. (Though I still wouldn't trade my Goonies box)

  6. Love the Goonies lunchpail. Please tell me it comes with a thermos. It's interesting that Data is the central figure while Mikey is in the background with Sloth and the others.

  7. Javid, I retain none of it but the fond, fond memories.

Cobra, I think it's just impossible to convey the awesome that is Data in a smaller space. And, yes, it does come with a thermos. Mikey gets more play on the thermos.

  8. Dixon Ticonderoga pencils ruled.

And the Pee-Chee folders were the bomb. It had measurement and conversion tables on the pockets inside.

Hell--it even had the multiplication table!

And when it would start to fall apart from getting filled with papers, I'd repair the rips with masking tape until my mom would yell at me and buy more folders.

    Those were the days...

  9. I know, Ace! The Ticonderoga is just one smooth writing implement.

I forgot about the tables in the Pee-Chee! Dude, I need the inside of a Pee-Chee with me at all times.

  11. Oh my gosh, I loved Trapper Keepers. I think I still might love them. I didn't have that trapper keeper, but I did have that design on some folders.

I'm with you about wishing I was going off to school. I miss school and all its back to school accessories.
